Dore Garden Offices – a New Website for Great Clients
Sometimes with a project it’s just something you want to do. The company, the images and the people … it’s just something you want to be involved with. Dore Garden Offices is one of those. Dore Garden Offices are pals, we’ve spent chilly Sunday mornings watching our kids playing rugby at Sheffield Tigers and far flung grounds across the North. They have always impressed us – both the people and the business.
This year (2023), the client moved their workshop, from just outside our offices on Broadfield Road to a larger workshop over on Oakham Drive, Burngreave – the other side of Sheffield. With the bigger premises, Dore Garden offices needed to up their business profile online. We were delighted when they chose us.

Established in 2011, Dore Garden Offices have been building beautiful garden rooms for clients ever since. They have an excellent reputation and over three hundred completed projects in Sheffield and Derbyshire under their belts. They are expert craftspeople. Dore Garden Offices pride themselves on supplying bespoke designs – garden rooms, man caves, games rooms, outdoor bars and more. Their builds transform their clients homes. Great build quality, power, heating and insulation mean great spaces for all seasons.
Dore Garden Offices pride themselves on the quality of their team. Polite, professional and tidy – they have sheaf of positive reviews to share
Also, the company share many of our values. They like to work locally, source materials from local suppliers and provide ecologically and environmentally appropriate solutions. That and we support the same rugby team (Go Tigers).
The Challenges … How We Addressed Them
If we were to do these clients justice, we had a lot to do. Because of the custom nature of much of their work, we had to make the many options available to clients easy to find on the website. At the same time, we needed to provide sample pricing. The company prides itself on the clarity of its pricing – all quotes are guaranteed.
The garden room market is competitive – national providers bid hard for the sponsored spaces on Google. So DGO’s strategy has always been to work and compete locally. Before developing anything, we worked with the clients to identify the many uses to which their rooms are put. Then we completed a round of keyword search to find out which of those attracted a high search volume. As is often the way, it wasn’t quite what we expected. We built those results into the site plan.
With a former sculptor at the head of the company, the design brief was always going to be tricky. We presented the client with a number of visuals and wireframes and, from those, we developed the layouts. Above all, the team wanted to display the garden offices in the context of the beautiful gardens and homes they transformed. With so many images, the choices were not always easy. But working with the clients, we got there.
The team at Dore Garden Offices frequently post to social media. Therefore it they felt it logical that those posts should appear on the website too. We carefully chose plugins which would complement the site’s design rather than reflect the strong branding of the social media platforms themselves.
The testimonials are displayed site-wide and, have a dedicated page where each quote is paired with an image of the project itself.
Launching the Site
We sent the site live on Friday 24th November 2023. But like any good website, the project is never quite over. The embedded social media will keep content ticking over daily. A blog dedicated to new projects will act as an ever-expanding portfolio and we will be working with the client’s SEO to keep the site soaring a the top of those search pages.
