Turning Drab Walls into Fab Walls – Yorkshire mural and branded space specialists, Wall Nuts, have been brightening schools and hospital wards and professionalising company headquarters for years. Led by a passionate creative, Steph Masters, the company has a vibrant and evolving corporate identity. Their previous site, while functional, no longer reflected the unique creative flair and professionalism that define the Wall Nuts brand.
Little Fire Digital are thrilled to announce the launch of the brand-new website for these outstanding feature wall experts.
About the Client
Wall Nuts is a West Yorkshire-based company specialising in murals and branded spaces. They have an exceptional track record with successful projects in Leeds, Bradford, Ripon, Sheffield and further afield.
Originally graphic designers, their natural exuberance just couldn’t be contained, and their creativity soon broke out. As skilled print designers ourselves, we can attest to their technical expertise and diligence.
About the Project
The existing website was fine, but it was showing its age. The site hadn’t been maintained and showed very few of the striking recent projects the team had completed.
Steph is mad for this business, profoundly passionate about it … little evidence of this was visible on the site.
The visual identity, logo and colour set had all changed to something far more impactful; again this was not evident on the site. The Wall Nuts team just felt that the site no longer reflected the company.
Most critically, the Wall Nuts site had stopped generating the leads needed to sustain and grow the business. Something had to change.
So What Did Little Fire Do?
The budget wasn’t huge, we could easily have whipped out a template and produced a convincing, ready-made template-driven site.
Then we watched one of Steph’s presentations.
“Dang!” we thought.
If Steph brings that level of distinction to a morning networking meeting, then the website deserves something much better. The world is full of generic-looking websites; Wall Nuts could not be one of them.
So we:
- Adopted her branding strategy – we would always do this, but not everyone does. The logo, colours and fonts are pin sharp and an exact match site-wide.
- We took a copy of her presentation, matched additional fonts and implemented visual techniques that are not commonly used elsewhere on the internet. If Wall Nuts can use skeumodal shadows and script fonts with aplomb, so we thought, can we. At all times, though, the work was the hero; if a design idea didn’t reflect and enhance the photography, it went.
- The Wall Nuts team avidly collect visual ideas and stimuli, so we created a new scrapbook section where they can share the ideas which excite them.
- Whilst measurable and demonstrable, the benefits of a branded space are not always obvious, so we set about prioritising content to educate potential clients about the value that Wall Nuts offer.
- Front and centre, we put the ability to contact the team. To make that vital conversion from website visitor to concrete lead was a vital missing link.
Anything Else?
- As is often the case, content was an issue, neither Little Fire nor the client had the resource to create all the writing required. In the end, Wall Nuts commissioned a professional copy writer with whom we worked to populate the site.
- In the years since lockdown, many of Steph’s clients have used their branded walls to add real professionalism to their online meetings – we made sure this was a prominent feature, supported with specific content and video testimonials.
- We imported all the old blog content, so we didn’t lose any existing SEO value.
- We converted all the PDF case studies into a shiny HTML projects section for maximum exposure. We’ve integrated HubSpot for easy meeting planning and the normal suite of analytics tools.
Probably some other stuff … Cloudflare and Litespeed haven’t finished doing their thing yet but the site is running at a very respectable speed right now – it’ll get quicker.
We took real time with this project. We worked hand in hand with Steph.
The Outcome

The result? A sleek, striking, and user-friendly new site at wall-nuts.co.uk – one that speaks directly to customers with Wall Nuts’ voice, reaching out to people looking to transform their interiors with bold, bespoke feature walls.
And it’s already delivering results. Within just two hours of going live, the new site attracted its first lead.
We invite you to explore the new site, get inspired by past projects, and discover how Wall Nuts can turn your blank wall into a work of art.
And what did the client say:
100% recommend Simon and the team at Little Fire. They have put their heart and soul in to designing and creating my website. Nothing is too much trouble, and being a designer myself I’m sure I’ve not been the easiest to work with! However the result is above and beyond what I had hoped for. Being able to work collaboratively has meant a lot.
So impressed with their knowledge of their own industry. Fab fab fab… Need I say more!
