Little Fire Digital are delighted to complete the new website Synergy Fire Engineering Ltd.
About the Synergy Fire Engineering Ltd
Matt Spivey founded Synergy Fire Engineering in 2011. He formed the company to fill the UK’s need for high quality fire risk consultancy and to address what, at the time, was the biased and non-customer-focused nature of fire risk assessments. The company has since gone from strength to strength, with an expanding team of assessors and a dedicated office team working to service the needs of a growing national client base.
Synergy Fire Engineering helps owners of small offices, nationwide stores, factories or warehouses, large government buildings or industrial areas to meet their safety oblications. Using Synergy’s services, clients can equip themselves with the necessary documentation, suitable training and safety equipment. The company specialises in fire strategy and fire safety consultancy.
Matt Spivey has more than 25 years’ experience in the fire and security industry, including experience working abroad training the Sudan Fire Service.
Synergy Fire Engineering is based in Matlock, Derbyshire.

About the Project
Synergy Fire Engineering already had a website but … after a comprehensive rebrand, it needed a major makeover. The following changes needed to be made:
- After a comprehensive rebranding, the website needed to match. Since the changes were to the logo, the colour scheme and the typefaces – this needed to be from the ground up
- The team at Synergy had grown and this needed to be reflected in the team
- New compliance standards meant that every page of the site needed an additional logo
- The old site advertised services the company no longer wished to offer
- The website needed updated photography
What Did Little Fire Digital Do?
The client had seen a website design that he liked very much. The design included elements we had never seen or used before. So, our newest team member, James, jumped on the challenge. He set about creating some unique CSS (sorry, jargon) to match the design exactly. By the time he was finished, James had transformed a standard website template into a unique CSS/HTML5 design.
We extended the team pages, putting Matt Spivey into the context of the larger team and updated the services list.
We added all new compliance information to every page.
It’s tricky, making image choices for a safety consultancy, in many ways you want the least exciting images possible. We’re subscribers to multiple image libraries and, working with the client, we were able to come up with a set that suited all parties.
