Since 1987, Jagged Globe has been the foremost operators running mountaineering expeditions for climbers. They were the first British company to organise a professionally-led expedition to Everest. Jagged Globe serve climbers globally.
Although we didn’t construct the website but we have done a huge number of projects. All while keeping the original design and its beautiful imagery.
It’s not been simple, to stay up to date we have had to:
- Redesign so that the website meets Google’s mobile-friendly requirements.
- To meet the PCI (Payment Card Industry) DSS, we developed an interface for the Sagepay (Opayo) online payment system to take client deposits online.
- Massively simplified the booking procedure. Returning clients can now book a adventure in as few as 5 clicks.
- Implemented a system for recording climber health. Climbing mountains is not without danger and is typically physically demanding – Jagged Globe need to be certain that each climber is fit to travel.
- Integrated the company’s site with the SendInBlue email marketing platform so the mailing lists are completely GDPR compliant.
- To help the client make best use of the many photos that the customers collect, we have implemented an application to upload and manage clients’ pictures in bulk.
Custom Web Development for e-commerce in Lower Kingswood
Rails of Sheffield, are amongst the largest retailers of model railways and hobbies in the country – with a volume of orders to match. When they came to Little Fire, we needed to deliver enterprise-level e-commerce.
Little Fire built a new site on the market-leading Shopify system that has proven to be the solution that Rails of Sheffield need.
The new site fixes a number of problems:
- The model railways marketplace involves pre-orders with very long delivery timeframes. To manage this, we have created a on-off, separate pre-order basket and checkout using javascript integrated directly into the Shopify framework.
- Stock management and order fulfilment is processed using Peoplevox. We coordinated teams of developers to get Peoplevox talking to Shopify and the client’s two ebay stores.

New Businesses Nationwide
Little Fire Digital constructed the website for Worthing medical aesthetics practice, Casafia, when they needed something personal. A perfect job for us; Little Fire worked with the client to create the logo and branding which features subtle colourways and sharp, modern layout.
The website features online booking through the Pabau CRM – a system developed specifically for the medical aesthetics market.
Pabau is smoothly integrated with Mailchimp to handle client communications so we designed the Pabau email templates so that they matched the lovingly created design of the main website. Mailing list subscription forms on the website add users directly a Mailchimp list and the user is able to update their contact preferences without ever leaving casafia.com.
To keep things simple, the IRC client is integrated to work with Facebook Messenger – our client’s usual text platform.
Bespoke Web Development for Fundraising
AFC Wimbledon were in a bind. They had years robbed of their traditional home ground, Plough Lane, and had somehow managed to buy a site and start building the their new home ground on the same street, Plough Lane, in Wimbledon.
The new ground was about to be finished but they had run out of money.
Under mad time pressure, Little Fire stepped forward and worked like fools to developed a bespoke platform from which the Dons could issue bonds and raise money from their supporters.
It was the greatest fundraising project in the history of the English football league, and we helped it to make it happen. Read the case study to find out more.
“Wimbledon fans are always at their best in a crisis and we like a challenge. So when we needed to stop control of the club being sold off in late 2019, a few of us suggested launching a Bond scheme.
That idea went from concept to a live website in a fortnight thanks to the tireless efforts of Simon and Little Fire.
They had to deal with all of the standard website challenges (design, layout, content etc) as well complying with legal regulations and compliance policies that were being finalised as we went along.
Oh, and that fortnight included Christmas and New Year. It was a difficult brief on an impossible timescale, but they threw themselves into it wholeheartedly and delivered a well-designed, easy-to-use robust and secure solution under all that pressure.
And the campaign? Well that raised over £5m in a matter of weeks and is the largest bond raise by a British football club ever.
