For over 35 years, Jagged Globe has been the foremost firm running mountaineering trips for clients. They were the first English company to organise a professionally-run attempt on Everest. Jagged Globe organise trips for climbers worldwide.
We didn’t build the website but we’ve done a great deal, whilst retaining its original scheme and its beautiful photography.
It’s not been simple, to stay up to date we have:
- Ensure the site meets Google’s mobile-friendly standard.
- To meet the emerging PCI (Payment Card Industry) DSS, we coded for the Sagepay (Opayo) payment gateway to take client deposits online.
- Massively simplified the booking interface. Existing customers can now book a trip in as few as 5 clicks.
- Implemented a system for recording climber capacity. Climbing mountains can be risky and is typically physically exacting – Jagged Globe need to be confident that each customer is safe to explore.
- Integrated the company’s website with the SendInBlue mail management system so the mailing lists are completely GDPR compliant.
- To help Jagged Globe show the many images that the clients collect, we have developed systems to upload and manage climbers’ images in bulk.
Bespoke Web Development for e-commerce in Burslem
As one of busiest online vendors of model railways and toys in the North, with a volume of orders to match, Rails of Sheffield needed us to develop enterprise-level e-commerce.
Developed on the industry-leading Shopify platform, the new Rails of Sheffield website has provided the much-needed stability to allow the business to grow.
The new site fixes a number of problems:
- The model railway marketplace permits pre-orders with exceptionally long delivery times. We have created a on-off, bespoke pre-order basket and checkout using javascript integrated directly into the Shopify framework.
- Stock management and order fulfilment is processed using Peoplevox. We coordinated development teams to get Peoplevox talking to Shopify and Rails of Sheffield’s two ebay shops.

When Worthing beauty clinic, Casafia were looking to go online, they consulted the help of Little Fire {Digital Limited}. An ideal project for us; we collaborated with the client to create the logo and branding featuring soft colours with crisp, stylish design.
The website features online booking through the Pabau Customer Relationship Management System – a system created specifically for the medical aesthetics market.
Pabau directly works with Mailchimp to handle client communications so we designed the Pabau email templates so that they matched the exact design of the main website. Mailing list sign up forms on the main site add customers directly a Mailchimp mailing list and the client is able to update their contact preferences without ever leaving casafia.com.
To keep communication simple, the IRC widget is integrated to work with Facebook Messenger – our client’s usual chat platform.
Bespoke Web Development for Fundraising
AFC Wimbledon were in a fix. They had decades ejected from their traditional home ground, Plough Lane, and had somehow managed to purchase a site and start building the their new stadium on the same road, Plough Lane, in Wimbledon.
The new stadium was almost finished but they had run out of money.
Under lunatic time pressure, Little Fire stepped forward, worked like slaves to created them a one-off platform from which the club could sell bonds and raise money from their supporters.
It turned out to be the greatest fundraising project in the history of the football league, and Little Fire helped it to make it happen. Read the case study to find out more.
“Wimbledon fans are always at their best in a crisis and we like a challenge. So when we needed to stop control of the club being sold off in late 2019, a few of us suggested launching a Bond scheme.
That idea went from concept to a live website in a fortnight thanks to the tireless efforts of Simon and Little Fire.
They had to deal with all of the standard website challenges (design, layout, content etc) as well complying with legal regulations and compliance policies that were being finalised as we went along.
Oh, and that fortnight included Christmas and New Year. It was a difficult brief on an impossible timescale, but they threw themselves into it wholeheartedly and delivered a well-designed, easy-to-use robust and secure solution under all that pressure.
And the campaign? Well that raised over £5m in a matter of weeks and is the largest bond raise by a British football club ever.
